Job summary

Kong Inc., a leading API and AI connectivity company, is seeking an experienced Strategic Account Executive to drive new public sector engagements across Central Government and related UK agencies.

You will navigate government procurement, framework agreements, and complex buying criteria to close multi‑year deals, while traveling to customer and partner sites about 30–50% of the time.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in selling enterprise software, with a proven track record of hitting targets within Central Government/Public Sector.
• Experience with open source, APIs, and/or infrastructure software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sell Kong Enterprise Platform to Central Government and broader public sector customers.
• Meet individual quota and objectives.
• Navigate government procurement processes, framework agreements, and buying criteria, ensuring evidence-based pipeline and closure.
• Provide account leadership in pre- and post-sales, understanding public sector mission objectives and analyzing wins/losses.
• Travel to customer and partner sites as required (30% - 50%).
• Perform additional tasks as required by manager.
