Job summary

IntaPeople: STEM Recruitment is seeking a Business Analyst for public sector software in Cardiff. The role is hybrid (some flexibility) and initially until end of March 2027, with option to extend. The contract requires SC Clearance and offers £300-350 per day outside IR35.

Start 9th November, be available for this date. You’ll run discovery with public sector clients, map processes, write user stories, and work with .NET engineers.

Qualifications

• Public sector experience is a must, ideally with local government, education, the NHS or central government.
• Solid Business Analyst experience in a digital or software delivery setting.
• Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and Agile backlog skills.
• Confidence running workshops and talking to people at every level.
• Enough technical know-how to work comfortably with developers (APIs, integrations, data).
• The ability to juggle more than one project in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Running discovery and requirements workshops with public sector clients
• Mapping current processes and finding better ways of doing things
• Writing user stories, acceptance criteria and prioritised backlogs
• Working closely with the .NET engineers and designers
• Helping shape bids and tenders with your understanding of client requirements
• Supporting testing and keeping accessibility, data protection and security front of mind
