Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Public Protection Learning and Education Trainer to deliver high-quality training across NHSGGC. You will work within a board-wide team to develop and implement training strategies informed by legislation, guidance and trauma-informed practice.

The role requires a first-level clinical qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse) with at least three years post-registration public protection experience. A postgraduate qualification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or qualification in teaching.
• Knowledge of national policy and research on public protection.
• Knowledge of national and local policies with regard to public protection.
• Understanding and competence in using training and education methods to meet learning outcomes.
• Experience in evaluation methods to demonstrate training impact.
• Demonstrate effective leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality multidisciplinary public protection training.
• Identify and support staff training needs across NHSGGC.
• Develop a public protection training strategy informed by legislation and guidelines.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across roles and services.
• Support training across NHSGGC sites and online platforms.
