Job summary

J D Wetherspoon is seeking a Shift Manager at The Wishaw Malt in Wishaw. In this role you support the pub manager, run shifts, and take responsibility for the pub's operation across front of house, kitchen and bar.

You will motivate and organise the team, respond to customers and ensure compliance with company standards. The position offers a starting salary of £29,013, a 40-hour week, 28 days' paid holiday, a bonus scheme, staff meals, and a range of employee benefits including a 20% off-duty

Responsibilities

• when running a shift, taking responsibility for the pub's operation, including compliance with company operating standards and legislation, dealing with customers, administration and cash management
• leading, supporting and motivating the team
• prioritising tasks, delegating and problem-solving
• working a variety of shifts across the week (including front of house and in the kitchen)
• delivering high standards in all areas: cleanliness, product quality, customer service, maintenance and atmosphere
