Job summary

You will support staff and students across research design, data collection and analysis, coordinate equipment bookings, ensure health and safety, and contribute to Open Days and Applicant Days.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or equivalent required.
• Experience managing laboratory spaces and equipment in HE or research setting.
• Experience supporting psychology research labs and teaching environments.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and R; familiarity with MNE-Python and PsychoPy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical laboratory support across Psychology programmes and assist with practical teaching, seminars, and student engagement activities.
• Support staff and student research through experimental design, data collection, processing, and statistical analysis.
• Maintain well-organised laboratory spaces, equipment, and computing resources; manage equipment booking and lab data administration.
• Support specialist equipment and software, including experiment programming, equipment setup, and troubleshooting.
