Job summary

QA Higher Education’s Psychology Lab Technician role at Manchester Campus supports practical teaching, research activities, and laboratory operations. You will prepare and maintain equipment, assist with experiments, and help students and staff during sessions.

You will work with SPSS, NVivo, Qualtrics and Gorilla, ensuring compliance with health, safety and ethical guidelines while supporting the psychology teaching and research environment.

Qualifications

• BPS-accredited undergraduate degree in Psychology (essential).
• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Experience using SPSS, NVivo, Qualtrics or similar tools.
• Postgraduate qualification, GBC status and Biopac experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain psychology laboratory equipment and materials.
• Support students and academic staff during practical laboratory sessions.
• Assist with psychological research projects, experiments, and data collection.
• Manage and organise laboratory resources and environments.
• Support the use of SPSS, NVivo, Qualtrics and Gorilla.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and ethical guidelines.
