Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting Psychology Graduates to work in supportive school environments across Manchester and surrounding areas. These roles enable you to apply knowledge of child development, behaviour, communication and emotional wellbeing while gaining practical SEND experience.

You will support pupils with SEND, contribute to personalised learning, and work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams to promote pupil wellbeing in a nurturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Child Psychology, Education, or a related subject.
• A genuine passion for child development and inclusive education.
• Experience with children or mentoring is desirable.
• Patient, adaptable and empathetic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND, ASD, ADHD and learning difficulties.
• Assist with 1:1 and small-group activities.

The Role May Include

• Supporting pupils with SEND, ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
• Working with pupils who have SEMH and behavioural needs
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Helping pupils access learning and overcome barriers in the classroom
• Supporting communication, social development, and emotional regulation
• Assisting with interventions and personalised learning activities
• Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams

Requirements

• A degree in Psychology, Child Psychology, Education, or a related subject
• A genuine passion for child development and inclusive education
• Experience with children, young people, mentoring, tutoring, or support work is desirable
• A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to support pupils with different needs and abilitiesA commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
