Job summary

Protocol Education seeks a Psychology Graduate to support students in a welcoming North Shields secondary school. You will apply your knowledge of behaviour, child development and mental health to assist roles such as SEND Teaching Assistant, SEMH Support Assistant or Learning Mentor.

This temporary, full-time placement offers £92.63–£115 per day (PAYE), weekly pay, CPD access and dedicated consultant support.

The Role

As a Psychology Graduate, you may work as a:

  • SEND Teaching Assistant
  • SEMH Support Assistant
  • Behaviour Support Assistant
  • Learning Mentor
  • Inclusion Support Assistant
  • Pastoral Support Assistant
  • Student Wellbeing Mentor

You’ll gain invaluable experience by:

  • Supporting students on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
  • Working with pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs and additional learning needs.
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Helping students build confidence, resilience and independence.
  • Assisting teachers with classroom learning and interventions.
  • Working alongside pastoral, safeguarding and SEND teams.
  • Building positive relationships that improve engagement and outcomes.
  • Supporting students to achieve both academically and personally.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
