Job summary

Rocket Staffing Group Ltd is seeking a PSV/HGV Mechanic for Norwich. The role offers a base hourly rate of £21.12 with overtime on some shifts. 39 hours per week with permanent status and available overtime.

Shifts include early, mid, or late and can be discussed at screening. The ideal candidate will hold NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance and repair, be flexible, and possess a UK driving licence (PCV desirable, support available to obtain it).

Qualifications

• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Flexible approach to work with the ability to multi skill.
• UK driving licence holder; PCV licence desirable (we can help you achieve this)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement.
• Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
• Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using handheld data capture devices if applicable.
• Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries where required.
• Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair

About the Role

We are now looking for an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified PSV/HGV Mechanic for our client in Norwich PSV or HGV mechanical experience is great however we love to hear from Light Vehicle qualified candidates and ex-Forces personnel with an engineering apprenticeship qualification, and experienced engineers from other sectors looking for a change.

Key Responsibilities

• Are you a UK driving license holder? A PCV license is desirable however we can help you achieve this
