Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 PSV or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance is required.
• Experience as PSV Engineer, HGV Technician, Bus Mechanic, Vehicle Technician or heavy vehicle engineer preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience in a workshop or fleet environment.
• Good knowledge of health and safety procedures in engineering/transport.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on buses, PSVs, vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools.
• Complete repairs, modifications and upgrades to DVSA and safety standards.
• Support fleet reliability through fault finding and problem solving.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Ensure all maintenance is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Maintain engineering records and inspection reports.
• Collaborate with workshop teams, supervisors and operations.
• Support continuous improvement to improve vehicle reliability and workshop efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and apprentices.
