Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEMH 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support students with SEMH needs in a specialist provision in Manchester. You will work 1:1 with pupils aged 11-16, helping them engage with education and build confidence.
The role focuses on emotional wellbeing, resilience and promoting positive behaviour, with collaboration alongside teachers and pastoral staff to reach individual targets. This is a full-time, term-time only position.

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEMH 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support students in a specialist provision for pupils aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many students have EHCPs and may present with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, attachment difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, trauma‑related needs, and school avoidance. The provision offers a nurturing and highly personalised approach, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve both academically and personally.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be a consistent and positive role model for a young person, helping them engage with education and build confidence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
