RoleSummary
We are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Technician –Electronics to support the design, development, testing, and validation ofnext-generation products. Working closely with electronics, software,mechanical, and systems engineers, you will play a key role in buildingprototypes, conducting experiments, troubleshooting hardware, and supportingthe transition of products from concept through to production.

KeyResponsibilities
- Build,assemble, and modify electronic prototypes, test rigs, and developmentsystems.
- Supportengineers with the design, development, and validation of new electronicproducts and subsystems.
- Conductfunctional, environmental, and performance testing of electronicassemblies and systems.
- Setup and operate laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrumanalysers, power supplies, electronic loads, data acquisition systems, andmulti-meters.
- Performfault finding and root cause investigations on wiring harnesses, andelectromechanical systems.
- Assistin soldering, rework, wiring, cable assembly, and prototype fabricationactivities.
- Recordtest results, maintain accurate laboratory records, and prepare technicalreports.
- Supportthe development and maintenance of test procedures, work instructions, andengineering documentation.
- Assistwith PCB assembly, component evaluation, and verification activities.
- Workwith engineers to improve product performance, reliability, andmanufacturability.
- Supportprototype builds and engineering trials during product developmentprogrammes.
- Ensurelaboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, and operated safely.
- Contributeto continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
- Maintaincompliance with company quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
RequiredQualifications & Experience
- ONC/HNC,Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3+, or equivalent qualification in Electronics,Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic, or a related discipline.
- Previousexperience in an electronics laboratory, R&D environment, or productdevelopment setting.
- Practicalexperience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electronic hardware.
- Abilityto read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, andengineering drawings.
- Experienceusing electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Competentsoldering and electronic assembly skills.
- Familiaritywith PCB technology and electronic components.
- Goodunderstanding of safe laboratory working practices.
- Strongattention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Abilityto work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinaryengineering team.
- Experiencewith power electronics, motor drives, electric propulsion, or batterysystems.
- Knowledgeof embedded systems and microcontroller-based products.
- Familiaritywith CAD tools, PCB design software, or engineering data managementsystems.
- Experiencesupporting EMC, environmental, or regulatory testing.
- Understandingof manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacture principles.
- Exposureto aerospace, automotive, industrial, or renewable energy markets.
