Job summary

Rittal-CSM is seeking a Model Shop Technician to join our Engineering team in Plymouth. The role involves hands-on machining, fabrication, and problem solving for first-off prototype builds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will produce and modify components from engineering drawings, ensuring high precision and safety standards while collaborating with engineers to support new product development.

• Experience within an engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering methods and practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate milling and turning machinery.
• Carry out MIG and TIG welding activities.
• Read, interpret and work from engineering drawings.
• Use a variety of fabrication workshop hand tools.
• Support prototype manufacture and development activities.
• Identify and solve engineering and production-related issues.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety.
• Work effectively with colleagues across the Engineering department.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
