Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer for a leading manufacturing client in the Cambridge area. You will create CNC programs for lathes and mills from 3D models provided by design engineers, supporting very low volume production and prototype development in an R&D setting.

Experience with CAM using SolidWorks and/or Fusion would be ideal, and prior work in a prototype R&D environment is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAM using SolidWorks or Fusion is preferred.
• Prototype/low-volume development in an R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs for Lathes and Mills from 3D models provided by design engineers.
• Support prototype components in an R&D setting and drive manufacturing feasibility.

Our client is a leading manufacturing company. They are now looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer for their busy R&;D department. You will be responsible for the creation of prgrams for CNC Lathes and Mills from 3D models provided by the design engineers. This is very low volume production and you will be working at the forefront of their development producing prototype mechanical components Experience of CAM using Solidworks and /or Fusion would be ideal as is working in a prototype R&;D environment.
