Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to create CNC programs for lathes and mills from 3D models provided by design engineers. This role focuses on very low-volume production and prototype components in a fast‑moving R&D environment.

Experience with CAM using SolidWorks and/or Fusion is ideal, and candidates should be comfortable working at the forefront of development and delivering precise, repeatable manufacturing instructions.

Qualifications

• Experience creating CNC programs for lathes and mills from 3D models.
• CAM experience with SolidWorks or Fusion is desirable.
• Experience in prototype R&D environments is beneficial.

You will be responsible for the creation of prgrams for CNC Lathes and Mills from 3D models provided by the design engineers.
