Sygnature Discovery Limited in Macclesfield invites applications for Scientists and Senior Scientists to join our Protein Science team on a 6-month contract at Tytherington. We seek curious, hands-on scientists with experience in protein expression, purification and structural determination.

You will work across bacterial, insect and mammalian expression, purification, and structural biology techniques including X-ray crystallography, NMR and Cryo-EM, collaborating with colleagues on a diverse

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc or PhD in Biochemistry or a related discipline.
• Experience in protein expression, purification and structural determination.
• Experience in protein engineering and biophysical/structural characterization techniques is advantageous.
• Good communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills in protein expression, purification and structural biology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; broad scientific curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Protein Expression involving recombinant proteins in bacterial, insect and mammalian systems.
• Protein purification and analysis of a broad range of targets including membrane proteins.
• Structural Biology – X-ray crystallography, biomolecular NMR and CryoEM.
