Job summary

WSP is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer for UK projects, delivering designs for 11kV–132kV substations (AIS & GIS) and integrating protection with SCADA systems.

You will travel between UK offices (Newcastle, Stockton-on-Tees, Leeds, Manchester) and client sites as required, producing drawings and calculations, reviewing supplier designs, and supporting project builds with technical input.

Qualifications

• HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in the design of protection and control schemes.
• Knowledge of Electrical Networks and Engineering standards.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation related to design.
• Experience with substation control equipment (ABB/Hitachi/Siemens/GE).
• Experience with IEC 61850, IEC 60870 protocols.
• Full driving licence.
