Job summary

Bridges Electrical Engineers Ltd is seeking a Proposals Engineer to review tender documentation, drawings, schedules and specifications to prepare estimates aligned with client requirements. Based from our Maidstone or Midsomer Norton offices, with hybrid working and site visits as part of the role.

Key duties include tender surveys, preparing quotations, GA drawings, risk identification, and value engineering options. Strong IT skills and driving licence are essential.

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Methodical with keen attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Visit sites to undertake tender surveys.
• Liaise with Clients, Suppliers, and the project delivery team to develop suitable solutions.
• Produce accurate quotations including: Production of GA Drawings, Identification of risk.
• Identify alternative design proposals and value engineering options.
• Assess contract terms and conditions and identify areas of concern to the commercial team.
• Provide detailed handovers to the project delivery team.

Job description

We are currently recruiting a Proposals Engineer who's main purpose will be to review tender documentation including drawings, schedules and specifications to prepare Estimates in line with Client requirements. Based from our from either our Midsomer Norton or Maidstone office.

Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

The Role

This is a Full time opportunity working Monday - Friday, 40hrs a week.

We offer Hybrid working you would be willing to regularly report to either our Maidstone or Midsomer Norton offices, with an expectation for site and client visits as part of this role.

• Visit sites to undertake tender surveys
• Liase with Clients, Suplliers, and the project delivery team to develop suitable solutions

• Produce accurate quotations including:
