Job summary

Bridges - Trusted Intelligent Engineering Partner is seeking a Project Manager to lead delivery on the Southern Water Framework in Maidstone. The role is hybrid, with weekly office visits and monthly reviews, coordinating cross-functional teams to keep projects on time and within budget.

You will manage RAMS, safety, site governance, and relationships with clients and subcontractors across civils and water projects from inception to completion.

Qualifications

• CDM Awareness, ideally SSSTS or SMSTS.
• CSCS card required.
• Industry-based qualifications (NVQ/C&G).
• Driving licence essential.
• Experience in water industry, MEICA, civils.
• Experience in design and delivery of projects.
• Experience on CDM sites and managing CDM sites.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
• Understanding of governance and commercial aspects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project planning, execution and delivery from inception to completion.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, within-scope, on-budget delivery.
• Create and manage project documentation and monthly expenditure reporting.
• Liaise with client and stakeholders to manage expectations and communications.
• Support health, safety, and environmental compliance across projects.

Role purpose

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work on our Southern Water Framework, reporting to our Maidstone office. With a hybrid working model, ideally you would be willing to commute to the Maidstone office once or twice weekly. You will be expected to travel to HQ at least once a month for project reviews and visit client sites regularly.

Role Overview

As a Project Manager at Bridges, you will oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects from inception to completion. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Your leadership will be pivotal in coordinating resources, managing timelines, and navigating challenges to achieve outstanding results.

The Role

• Contracted to 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday
• Management of staff and subcontractors working on assigned projects
• Taking responsibility for the health & safety of self and all under your control, completion of RAMS
• Creation and management of the appropriate Project Documentation and control of project expenditure within a monthly project reporting structure
• Close liaison and management of the Client and other stakeholders as appropriate
• Proactively manage the impact on and protection of the environment

Requirements

Essential

• CDM Awareness (ideally SSSTS or SMSTS)
• CSCS card
• Industry Based qualifications (NVQ/C&G)
• Driving licence
• Industrial engineering experience - ie water industry, MEICA, civils
• Experience in the design and delivery of projects
• Experience in managing CDM sites and working on CDM sites
• Capable of effectively managing more than one project at any one time, depending on complexity
• Capable of effectively managing teams, including employees and subcontractors
• Understanding of project governance procedures and commercial aspects of projects
• Sound knowledge of H&S legislation and regulations

Desirable

• HNC / HND level qualifications
• Site experience is essential, currently or previously in a supervisory site role or Project engineer role
• Southern Water Experience is desirable but not essential
