Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Proposal Writer in the Cannock area to craft persuasive bids for high-value tenders in the energy sector. The role requires collaborating with subject matter experts and sales teams to gather information and develop strategic approaches that highlight Veolia's unique solutions and capabilities.

You will create well-structured proposals, tailor responses to customer requirements, and ensure thorough reviews for clarity and impact.

Qualifications

• Proven bid writing experience on tenders valued over £500,000 in the energy sector.
• Expert-level written communication skills and knowledge of proposal writing best practices.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Craft persuasive proposals for high‑value tenders showcasing Veolia's solutions and differentiation.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, sales teams and stakeholders to gather information for tenders.
• Develop well-structured proposals addressing customer requirements and Veolia strengths.
• Ensure all questions are answered to the highest standard and align writing style to customer needs.
• Conduct thorough reviews to improve clarity, coherence and effectiveness of proposals.
• Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and following proofing processes.
• Maintain records and update the central bid library and project management software.

What you’ll be doing

• Craft persuasive, compelling proposals for high-value tenders that showcase Veolia's unique solutions, value, and competitive differentiation
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, sales teams, and stakeholders to gather information and develop strategic approaches for tender opportunities
• Craft well-structured proposals that address customer requirements while highlighting Veolia's unique strengths and capabilities
• Ensure all questions are answered to the highest possible standard to secure maximum available marks and adapt writing style to align with customer requirements
• Conduct thorough reviews and revisions to improve clarity, coherence, and effectiveness of proposals
• Manage multiple proposals simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and adhering to company-wide proofing processes
• Maintain accurate records and save new material to the central 'bid library' for future use while keeping information updated in project management software

What we're looking for

• Proven bid writing experience on tenders valued over £500,000 specifically technical submissions within the energy sector
• Expert-level written communication skills and knowledge of proposal writing best practices
• Proficiency with Google suite packages and project management software
• Advanced business acumen and analytical abilities with expert-level attention to detail and proof reading skills
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple high-value tenders simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
