Qualifications

Overview
We’re supporting a growing engineering firm expanding its operations across Europe. Following several recent project awards, the team is seeking a talented Proposal / Bid Specialist to support ongoing tender efforts. This is a remote opportunity for a German-speaking professional with strong experience in bid coordination, estimation, or proposal management within the engineering or construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyse tender documentation including specifications, drawings, and commercial requirements

• Collaborate with global service teams and suppliers to produce high-quality, cost-effective bids

• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies

• Assess risks and differentiators in each bid submission

• Support the development of compelling value propositions tailored to client needs

• Work cross-functionally with engineering, project, and commercial teams during tender preparation

• Engage with sub-contractors and sub-consultants to align on technical and commercial inputs

• Evaluate supplier offerings for technical compliance and innovative solutions

• Lead and participate in internal tender handover meetings

Person Specification

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in proposals, tendering, or estimation within the engineering or construction sector

• Fluent in German (spoken and written)

• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project fundamentals

• Excellent communication, organisational, and coordination skills

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

• Comfortable working across multi-disciplinary teams and global supplier networks
