Job summary

Hastoe Housing Association Limited is seeking a Property Maintenance Surveyor to join our Property Services (Asset) Team. The role involves inspecting Hastoe properties, assessing needed works, and coordinating with our customer service centre, admin team and external contractors to ensure cost-effective repairs and compliance with legal requirements.

You will play a key role in keeping homes safe and well maintained, contributing to improved living standards across our portfolio.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of building pathology and regulations.
• Experience in property inspections and surveys.
• Ability to organise workload and prioritise with attention to detail.
• Experience delivering high standards of customer service.
• Willingness to learn and progress surveying qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect defects in dwellings and specify cost-effective repairs.
• Perform domestic surveys and determine remedial works.
• Assist with defining and inspecting planned maintenance works.
• Maintain accurate stock data.
• Conduct pre- and post-void inspections and liaise with Housing Team.
• Carry out damp and mould inspections.
• Triaging using photos and video calls.
• Review contractor variations.
