Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to join a housing repairs and maintenance team based in Hastings. The role focuses on responsive repairs, void surveying, and ensuring works meet statutory and H&S standards. Location is Hastings, East Sussex with a 3+ month contract and a daily umbrella rate of £214.39.

You will manage repairs, perform inspections, prepare specifications, and oversee contractors to deliver high-quality, compliant works.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Building/Maintenance Surveyor in a maintenance environment.
• Experience carrying out pre- and post-inspections.
• Experience working with contractors.
• Knowledge of SOR and non-SOR contracts.

Responsibilities

• Managing responsive repairs and void works.
• Carrying out pre- and post-inspections.
• Assessing building defects and identifying remedial works.
• Preparing detailed specifications of works.
• Obtaining quotations and estimates where required.
• Monitoring and managing contractors and consultants.
• Carrying out quality control and H&S checks.
• Monitoring budgets, costs and contractor performance.
• Inspecting completed works and identifying snags or remedial work.
• Maintaining accurate records of works, variations and progress.
