Job summary

Hastoe Housing Association Limited is seeking a Property Maintenance Surveyor to join our Property Services (Asset) Team. You will inspect and survey Hastoe properties, assess works needed, and liaise with our customer service centre, admin team and external contractors to deliver cost‑effective repairs.

You will help keep homes safe and well maintained for residents, with potential career progression toward Associate Membership of RICS.

Qualifications

• ONC or City & Guilds in a building related topic.
• Experience in property inspections and surveys.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
• Hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to undertake training including RICS-related qualifications.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting defects in dwellings and specifying cost-effective repairs.
• Performing domestic surveys and detailing remedial works.
• Assisting with planned maintenance specification and inspections.
• Maintaining accurate stock data.
• Pre and post void inspections and liaising with Housing Team.
• Carrying out damp and mould inspections.
• Using MIS to triage via photos and video calls.
• Reviewing and authorising contractor variations.
