Job summary

DCV Technologies is seeking a Property Maintenance Operative to join the team onsite in Cheltenham. The role involves performing planned and reactive maintenance across onsite accommodation, including occupied and vacant properties, under the supervision of the Repairs & Maintenance Team Leader.

Responsibilities include plumbing, carpentry, plastering, painting, groundwork, and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks across onsite accommodation, including both occupied and vacant properties.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the client's onsite accommodation in Cheltenham.
• Carry out plumbing repairs and minor installations.
• Complete a range of carpentry and joinery repairs and installations.
• Carry out patch plastering as required.
• Undertake a range of painting and decorating tasks, including surface preparation and removal of old wallpaper.

Property Maintenance Operative

Location: Cheltenham - GL52

Salary: £36,420 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5pm

Contract Type: Permanent

Our client, a leading provider of housing solutions, is seeking a Property Maintenance Operative to join their team onsite in Cheltenham.

Purpose of the Role

Reporting directly to the Repairs & Maintenance Team Leader, the role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the client's onsite accommodation in Cheltenham. Responsibilities include completing repairs, maintenance and installations as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks across the onsite accommodation, including both occupied and vacant properties.

Plumbing

Carry out a variety of plumbing repairs and minor installations.

Carpentry

Complete a range of carpentry and joinery repairs and installations, including:

• Installing and/or repairing windows, doors, frames and UPVC components.
• Working on framed, ledged and braced doors and internal plywood doors.
• Repairing or installing fences, soffits, fascias and bargeboards.
• Fitting or repairing architraves, skirting boards, bath panels, frames, kitchen units, worktops, double-glazed units, locks, floorboards and stud walls.

Plastering

Carry out patch plastering as required.

Painting and Decorating

Undertake a range of painting and decorating tasks, including:

• Preparing and cleaning surfaces using methods such as scraping, sanding and steam cleaning.
• Removing old wallpaper and loose paint.
• Repairing cracks and holes in walls or joinery using fillers and sealants.
• Sanding and preparing surfaces for the application of decorative finishes.

Groundwork

Complete a variety of groundwork, fencing and clearance repairs and renewals.
