Job summary

STR Group Limited is seeking a Property Maintenance Manager to lead a trades team within the Property Services function. The role focuses on delivering safe, customer-focused maintenance outcomes while managing a circa £1 million annual budget and coordinating multiple workstreams.

You will drive data quality, health and safety compliance, and engage with residents to shape co-created services. Travel will be involved; a full UK driving licence and access to a car are required.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing customer focused teams for the delivery of maintenance services.
• Ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against budgets.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation with focus on compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, timely outcomes for customers.
• Responsible for a budget circa £1 million per annum.
• Manage a team of Trades including Plumbers, Carpenters, Builders and Plasterers.
• Maintain high quality data within property systems.
• Set and maintain high levels of safe working practices (CDM).
• Develop local knowledge of customer, asset and investment needs.
• Engage with residents to develop co-created services.
• Lead planning and delivery of maintenance workstreams in a customer-focused environment.
• Ensure value-for-money service; monitor income and expenditure against budgets.
• Operate with commercial acumen and sound financial forecasting.

A larger Property Landlord who owns in excess of 80,000 homes is looking to recruit a Property Maintenance Manager to manager a Team of trades working within the Property Services team

• Delivering the right outcome for our customer in a safe and timely way
• Responsible for a budget or Circa £1million PA
• Managing a team of Trades, Plumbers, Carpenters, General Builders, Plasterers etc
• Maintaining high quality data within the property systems
• Setting and maintaining high levels of safe working practices in line with Health and Safety legislation and CDM
• Ensuring a detailed local knowledge of customer, asset and investment needs across your locality
• Engaging and working with residents and groups to develop co-created services
• Experience of managing customer focused teams for the delivery of maintenance services
• Demonstratable knowledge of planning the delivery of workstreams in a customer focused environment
• Ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value for money service whilst taking actions to mitigate any risks
• Ability to operate with commercial acumen
• Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation with focus on compliance within all activities undertaken by the teams
• Proficient use of Microsoft office suite with Intermediate or advanced Excel skills

There will be some travel involved with this role so you should be happy to travel, have access to a car and a full UK driving licence.
