Job summary

Hiscox UK is seeking to enhance its claims team with a service-oriented professional to help deliver a superior claims experience. You will apply a rules-based approach to predominantly third party property damage liability claims and liaise with brokers and customers.

The role includes reviewing policy coverage, negotiating and settling claims, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of our claims proposition. A strong customer focus and flexible hybrid working pattern are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service background with focus on outcomes.
• Experience in claims or insurance environment.
• Hybrid working and office presence 1–3 days per week.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Willingness to study for CII qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Apply a rules-based approach to handle a claims portfolio, primarily third-party property damage liability.
• Review and confirm policy coverage positions.
• Validate, negotiate and settle claims with focus on good customer outcomes.
• Ensure data is recorded clearly and consistently per process.
• Provide feedback to internal and external stakeholders and meet SLAs.
• Promote continuous improvement of the claims service and identify opportunities.
