Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Liability Claims Handler to manage EL, PL and property damage claims across the UK with hybrid working options. You will investigate coverage, liability, gather evidence, and negotiate settlements for insurers and corporate clients while maintaining clear records and proactive communication.

The role emphasizes expert liability knowledge, strong investigation skills, and bespoke customer service to support brands and reputations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of current case law, statutes and regulations related to liability claims.
• Experience in handling Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims is valued.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of EL, PL and Third Party Property Damage claims to conclusion.
• Investigate policy coverage, legal liability and gather relevant evidence.
• Communicate proactively with all parties and manage litigated files when required.
• Identify potential fraud risks and maintain detailed record keeping and correspondence.
• Provide liability advice and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
