Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Liability Claims Handler to join a UK-wide team. You will manage EL/PL and property damage claims with a focus on investigation, liability assessment, negotiation and timely settlement.

The role offers flexible hybrid working arrangements and a chance to work with a leading insurer and corporate clients. You will apply your knowledge of case law and insurance policy wording while maintaining detailed records and providing clear communication to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of case law, statutes and regulations relevant to liability claims.
• Experience valued over formal qualifications.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of insurance law and policy wording interpretation.
• Knowledge of contract, statute and civil liability.
• Investigation skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Investigate Employers' Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL) and Third Party Property Damage claims.
• Negotiate and settle claims on behalf of insurers and corporate clients.
• Manage a varied caseload with independence and where appropriate referral.
• Maintain proactive communication with all parties and ensure accurate record keeping.
