Exchange Street Executive Search is seeking a Claims Team Leader to drive technical excellence within the property claims team. You will supervise the claims handlers, mentor staff, and ensure performance aligns with client SLAs.

The role involves conducting technical audits, identifying claims with financial risk or exposure and managing effectively while staying up to date with legislation, case law and industry standards. You will also handle complex claims and complaints.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Claims Handler or Team Leader.
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
• Strong understanding of General Insurance, preferably in property and home emergency.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage performance and motivate a team.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and quality standards.
• Confident using claims systems and Microsoft platforms.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the technical performance of the property claims handling team and act as a referral point.
• Provide training, conduct technical audits, and identify claims with financial risk or exposure.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, case law and industry standards.
• Handle a caseload of complex claims and complaints.
