Job summary

Switch Recruitment Services Ltd on behalf of a global specialist insurer seeks a Claims Adjuster/Assessor to join its international property and construction team in London. You will manage complex international property claims and coordinate across Europe, Asia and the US.

The role emphasises proactive coverage checks, assessment of evidence, and selecting loss adjusters or lawyers as needed, with a strong focus on negotiation and client liaison.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a caseload of large or complex property claims.
• Knowledge of international programmes including Europe, Asia and the US.
• Excellent team and communication skills with intermediaries and clients.
• Ideally hold professional qualifications, although not essential.

Job description

We are pleased to be working on behalf of a global specialist insurance provider, who require a Claims Adjuster / Claims Assessor to join their growing multinational and international property and construction team.

Responsibilities:

• Candidates will be responsible for assessing and managing a caseload of complex international property claims through the process.
• You will carry out a proactive assessment, confirm coverage and evaluate investigative material to enable you to resolve claims in a timely manner.
• You will appoint loss adjusters, lawyers and other experts to ensure the interests of the company ae protected.

Experience:

• Candidates need to have proven and demonstrable experience over a number of years managing a caseload of large and / or complex property or claims
• You will demonstrate knowledge of international programmes including Europe, Asia and US.
• You will have excellent team and communication skills and be confident and competent in dealing with a range of intermediaries and clients and being able to conduct multi-party negotiations.
• Ideally candidates will hold professional qualifications, although this is not essential.
