Job summary

OPRA GROUP is seeking a Property Claims Account Handler to manage a portfolio of property and liability claims within the real estate and commercial property sector. You will handle claims from initial notification through to settlement while building strong relationships with clients, brokers, insurers and internal teams.

You will report to the Account Manager and be involved in liaising with policyholders across the UK and Europe, ensuring professional service, timely settlements and accurate

• Familiarity with loss adjusting processes and client/broker interactions.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and professional standards in claims handling.

Are you an experienced insurance or claims professional looking to develop your career within the real estate and commercial property sector?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Property Claims Account Handler to join a growing specialist claims team. This role offers the chance to work with UK and European property portfolios, managing claims from initial notification through to settlement while building strong relationships with clients, brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders.

The Role

Reporting to the Account Manager, you will be responsible for handling a portfolio of property and liability claims, ensuring they are managed efficiently, professionally and in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, negotiate and agree claim settlements in a professional and timely manner.
• Manage a portfolio of property and liability claims from instruction through to conclusion.
• Liaise with policyholders, insurers, brokers and other stakeholders to drive claims to resolution.
• Work with clients and contacts across both the UK and Europe.
• Produce accurate reports in line with professional standards and agreed service levels.
• Ensure time recording and billing processes are completed accurately and in accordance with internal procedures.
• Raise invoices accurately and within required timescales.
• Work closely with technical claims and adjusting teams where appropriate.
• Attend client review meetings and provide updates on claim activity.
• Maintain accurate claim records and documentation throughout the lifecycle of each case.
