RG Consultancy is working with a fast-growing property development company in Alderley Edge, recruiting for a Property Accountant to join their expanding team. This is a new role designed to support the finance department with service charge and ground rent management.

You will work alongside another Property Accountant and report to the Financial Director.

The Role

• Produce Service Charge and Ground Rent invoices
• Check payments and post to relevant accounts weekly
• Manage all correspondence daily, including payments, solicitor cheques, and emails
• Prepare Service Charge budgets and discuss with property managers
• Reconcile Service Charges for auditors and produce reports
• Liaise with solicitors as required
• Respond to calls/queries related to invoices and statements

The Person

• Experience in the property industry, property development, or construction is advantageous
• Experience with service charges
• Experience in accounts payable or accounting setup is essential
• Professional accounting qualification (AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or studying towards one is preferred
• Experience using QUBE or COINS is advantageous
