Job description

This leading Cheshire business is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join a busy team.

This is a great opportunity to join an established company in a fast-paced role where you can make a real impact.

They are seeking someone with exceptional organisational skills, the ability to prioritise work, and a good understanding of budgets, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

(9am to 5.30pm, 37.5 hours a week, Office based)

Responsibilities
  1. Deal with all correspondence daily, including payments, solicitor cheques, and emails.
  2. Check unallocated payments weekly and post to relevant accounts.
  3. Input new completion statements for residential properties received from solicitors, update system with changes for residential clients, and liaise with solicitors as required.
  4. Produce and send Service Charge and Ground Rent invoices on annual and quarterly basis.
  5. Handle calls related to invoices and statements.
  6. Prepare Service Charge Budgets each January, discuss with Property Managers, and update charges accordingly. Uplift parking charges and licenses in line with RPI annually.
  7. Reconcile Service Charges annually within a set timeframe for audit purposes.
  8. Post insurance claim cheques/payments to the system upon settlement.
The Person
  1. Relevant knowledge and experience are essential.
  2. Excellent telephone manner and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Good interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to manage issues and escalate to management when necessary.
  5. Team player who can assist all departments as needed.
  6. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  7. Understanding of budgets, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  8. Experience with Service Charges.
  9. AAT or other accountancy qualifications.
