Job Description:

This leading Cheshire business is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join a busy team.

This is a great opportunity to join an established company in a busy, fast-paced role where you can make a real impact.

They are looking for someone with exceptional organisational skills who can prioritise work and has an understanding of budgets, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

(9am to 5.30pm, 37.5 hours a week, Office based)

Responsibilities
  • Deal with all correspondence daily, including payments, Solicitors’ cheques, and emails.
  • Check unallocated payments weekly and post to relevant accounts.
  • Input new completion statements for residential properties, update system with changes, and liaise with Solicitors.
  • Produce Service Charge and Ground Rent invoices on scheduled days and send out.
  • Handle calls related to invoices and statements.
  • Prepare Service Charge Budgets annually, discuss with Property Managers, and update charges accordingly.
  • Reconcile Service Charges annually for audit purposes.
  • Post insurance claim cheques/payments once settled.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage issues and escalate as needed.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Assist all departments as required.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.
  • Understanding of budgets, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with Service Charges.
  • AAT or similar accountancy qualification.
