Job summary

A well-established social housing contractor is recruiting a Projects Manager for a large retrofit scheme across the Leeds area. The role involves coordinating multiple work streams including EWI, air source heat pumps, windows/doors, IWI and roofline works, while ensuring quality delivery from start to finish.

You will embed client requirements, liaise with stakeholders, manage safety and scheduling, and supervise site staff to achieve KPI targets on a busy maintenance and decarbonisation

Qualifications

• Background in social housing refurbishment or decarbonisation sectors.
• CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid and a valid Driving License are required.
• Experience with retrofit projects is essential.

Responsibilities

• Embed client requirements into all project activities for value delivery.
• Assist Site Manager with on-site issues and decisions.
• Maintain regular client liaison and represent the company.
• Attend senior management meetings to report site progress.
• Address build-ability and design issues as they arise.
• Manage health & safety and ensure KPI targets are met.
• Plan and programme all works and develop build schedules.
• Lead recruitment of staff and co-ordinate trades.
• Ensure projects stay on time, on budget and quality standards.

Job description

A well-established and rapidly expanding Social Housing Contractor are currently looking to recruit a Projects Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

The company have gone from strength to strength each year and have an exciting growth plan in place, with a healthy pipeline of work across the West Yorkshire region.

The company specialise in retrofit and decarbonisation to tenanted Social Housing properties, with a goal to reduce fuel poverty and the carbon footprint.

They are a seeking a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis, this will be based on a large scheme across the Leeds area. The has several work streams within it and the company are completing various retrofit measures. Typical works will consist of EWI, Air Source Heat Pump Installation, Windows and Doors, IWI, Roofline works.

Responsibilities of a Project Manager:

• Embedding the client's requirements in every aspect of the project, offering the clients added value to give them the assurance that they can trust the Contractor in providing a quality start-to-finish delivery
• Assisting the Site Manager with any problems or concerns on site
• Regular liaison with the client, discussing progress and acting as the company representative
• Senior management meetings on progression of sites making sure directors are aware of each development
• Discussing build-ability and design issues
• Managing and championing Health & Safety
• Programming and planning all works
• Devising a build programme
• Recruitment of staff, organising trades and labour
• Ensuring KPI's are being achieved

The successful Project Manager must have:

• A strong background in the social housing refurbishment sector/decarbonisation sector with knowledge of working under PAS regulations.
• CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, Drivers License
• Retrofit experience
