Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Project Manager to join a rapid-growing social housing contractor. The role is based on-site in Preston or Manchester, delivering retrofit measures including EWI, heat pump installs, windows and doors, IWI, and roofline works.

You will embed client requirements, manage on-site teams, maintain client liaison, and drive health and safety, planning, and KPIs across multiple work streams.

Qualifications

• Strong background in social housing refurbishment/decarbonisation sectors.
• Knowledge of working under PAS regulations.
• Retrofit experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Embed client requirements across projects to ensure quality end-to-end delivery.
• Assist Site Manager with on-site issues and liaison with clients.
• Represent company in regular client progress meetings.
• Participate in senior management reviews of site progression.
• Discuss buildability and design issues with stakeholders.
• Lead Health & Safety management on site.
• Programme and plan all works and build programmes.
• Recruit staff and coordinate trades and labour.
• Ensure KPI targets are achieved.

Job description

A well-established and rapidly expanding Social Housing Contractor are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

The company have gone from strength to strength each year and have an exciting growth plan in place, with a healthy pipeline of work across the North West region.

The company specialise in retrofit and decarbonisation to tenanted Social Housing properties, with a goal to reduce fuel poverty and the carbon footprint.

They are a seeking a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis, this will either be based on a site in Preston or in Manchester. Each project has several work streams within it and the company are completing various retrofit measures on each project. Typical works will consist of EWI, Air Source Heat Pump Installation, Windows and Doors, IWI, Roofline works.

Responsibilities of a Project Manager:

• Embedding the client's requirements in every aspect of the project, offering the clients added value to give them the assurance that they can trust the Contractor in providing a quality start-to-finish delivery
• Assisting the Site Manager with any problems or concerns on site
• Regular liaison with the client, discussing progress and acting as the company representative
• Senior management meetings on progression of sites making sure directors are aware of each development
• Discussing build-ability and design issues
• Managing and championing Health & Safety
• Programming and planning all works
• Devising a build programme
• Recruitment of staff, organising trades and labour
• Ensuring KPI's are being achieved

The successful Project Manager must have:

• A strong background in the social housing refurbishment sector/decarbonisation sector with knowledge of working under PAS regulations.
• CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, Drivers License
• Retrofit experience
