Job summary

BJF Group is a leading multidiscipline Main Contractor delivering high quality construction projects across the UK. The Facilities Management division handles planned minor works on client sites and requires an electrical technician to deliver DB replacements, EV charger installations, and EICR testing in commercial environments.

You will assist pricing, operate to robust health and safety standards, and work on lighting, cabling, and panel boards.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation (2357) is essential.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection or equivalent is required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (7671) knowledge is required.
• ECS Card is required.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Basic IT skills including Excel and Word are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical projects including DB replacements, single and three-phase work, EV charger installations, and CSA SWA cable runs.
• Review and conduct EICR testing and fill out EICR reports for large commercial buildings.
• Assist project management with pricing of works from £3k upwards.
• Maintain health, safety and wellbeing of the team and promote a positive safety culture.
• Carry out emergency lighting installations, lighting upgrades, and commercial plantroom work; install large panel boards and DB replacements.

Within our Facilities Management division, the small works team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of planned minor works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client's sites.

Position

• To deliver electrical project consisting of DB replacements single phase and three phase. EV charger installations including large CSA SWA cables into commercial feeder pillars. Installation of metal containment systems and commercial lighting installations. Be able to review and conduct various levels of EICR testing including large commercial buildings and fill out EICR reports. Also carry out EICR remedial works
• Assisting project management with pricing of works ranging from £3k upwards
• Experience in carrying out electrical testing and installation in commercial environments
• Understand your responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of your team and the wider group, whilst promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout.
• EICR Testing & remedial works
• EV Charger, Feeder Pillar and CSA SWA cable instillations
• Emergency light installations & Repairs
• Commercial plantroom installations including boiler wiring & Installation of metal containment systems
• Large panel board and DB replacements
• Working to small scale drawings for lighting installations
• Pump and motor installations

Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation (2357)
• Testing & Inspection (2391) or equivalent
• 18th Edition Full Classroom Course & IET Wiring Regulations (7671)
• ECS Card
• Full UK Driving License
