Job summary

BJF Group is a leading multi-discipline Main Contractor delivering quality construction across the UK. The Electrician role sits in Facilities Management, providing reactive and preventive maintenance across client sites in the Southeast.

You will carry out repairs, complete planned maintenance, and ensure high standards of workmanship while following health and safety procedures. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (18th Edition) and experience with EICR-based minor works are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to KPI targets.
• Repairs following an EICR with minor works certification.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and 18th Edition compliance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive calls, perform first fix where possible and scope quotes for further repairs.
• Carry out planned maintenance tasks and keep auditable records.
• Maintain site order and safety, adhere to health and safety criteria.
• Support customer care and work flexibly to meet operational needs.
• Be available for call-out duties when required.

Position

Within our Facilities Management division, the Southeast Core team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of reactive and preventative works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client's sites - as an Electrician. Within the team, you will be expected to provide comprehensive repairs and maintenance to a range of commercial instillations.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Respond to reactive calls, carry out first fix where possible and scoping quotes for repair where first fix is not possible, ensuring minimum downtime.
• Carry out all planned maintenance tasks as per program and keep accurate auditable records of works planned and completed.
• To ensure that the site is kept in good order internally and externally - and to given specification and ensure timely completion.
• Working within all Health and Safety criteria and processes relevant to work activities.
• Show a proactive approach to Health & safety in the work environment and take the necessary steps to ensure risks are mitigated.
• Client facing, therefore maintaining high standards of customer care and workmanship
• Be flexible and undertake other reasonable duties to accommodate operational requirements.
• Work from a call out rota when required.

Requirements

• Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works / tasks completed within KPI’s
• Repairs following a Periodic Electrical Installation Condition Report (including minor works certification)
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering 18th Edition

• 2391 - Testing & Inspection
