Job summary

Sanctuary is seeking a part-time Project Worker in Sheffield (S13 area) to support people experiencing domestic abuse. You will assess needs, update plans, and signpost to education and employment opportunities, while promoting safe practices and advocacy.

Join a compassionate, community-focused team in a not-for-profit setting. 15 hours per week with a contributory pension, health benefits, and training opportunities to help you grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people affected by domestic abuse.
• Knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears.
• Understanding occupancy agreements.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and work on your own initiative.
• Empathetic and non-judgmental with strong interpersonal skills.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards.
• Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar).

Your role

(This role is sometimes also referred to as Support Worker, Support Assistant, or Independent Living Assistant).

Your skills

• Experience supporting people affected by domestic abuse or working in supported living
• Knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears and health and safety of the building.
• Understanding of occupancy agreements
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and work on your own initiative
• Empathetic and non-judgmental with strong interpersonal skills
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards
• Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)
