Job summary

Bristol City Council is seeking an experienced Project Surveyor to manage a varied portfolio of housing stock projects at Sandy Park, Brislington. You will oversee major repairs, refurbishments and extensions, delivering projects on time, to budget and high standards.

The role requires site visits, stakeholder engagement and strong knowledge of construction and health & safety legislation. Bristol City Council offers hybrid working and a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential property surveying.
• Strong project and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of construction, maintenance and refurbishment works.
• Experience preparing specifications and procurement documentation.
• Understanding of construction and health and safety legislation.
• Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of housing projects from brief to handover.
• Prepare specifications and tender documentation.
• Procure works and administer contracts.
• Manage budgets and monitor contractor performance.
• Ensure quality assurance and resident engagement throughout delivery.
• Conduct regular site visits, inspections and safety checks.
