NHS Scotland is seeking a motivated individual for a Fixed Term role in Quality Improvement, focused on enhancing Person Centred Care in Tayside. This position involves working collaboratively with local teams to improve healthcare services, teaching improvement skills, and engaging in various quality initiatives. Ideal candidates will have prior healthcare experience and a passion for delivering high-quality care.

Fixed Term for 12 months
An opportunity has arisen for someone who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role working within Quality Improvement. The role will be positioned to support delivery of Improvements in Person Centred Care in Tayside. The role presents an opportunity to work with many local teams and individuals, to help improve care in a crucial part of our service, and to link with others doing similar roles across Scotland.
The post holder will be a flexible person with good organisational skills and knowledge and experience of quality improvement. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate teams, support improvement endeavours and work with senior improvement staff to deliver, transformational, high-quality healthcare.
The role will include an opportunity to be involved in teaching basic improvement skills, working with teams/services using improvement tools and techniques to establish opportunities for redesign and improvement, often undertaking observations, process mapping and collecting data for improvement. In addition, the role will support a business function within the team related to improvement activities such as events, meetings and group work.
The post holder will report to the Programme Manager but will work closely with the Improvement Advisors in the team taking direction and lead for the work from them. You will be a key member of NHS Tayside’s Improvement Team which provides applied Quality Improvement support, consultancy, training and education within NHS Tayside around systems thinking and the application of Quality Improvement methodology.
You should ideally have previous experience in a healthcare setting, some of which should be involved in improvement personally or locally with a team.

Hours of work are: Mon – Fri, 37 hours per week.
Interview's will take place week commencing 21 July 2025
