Job summary

WPS in Redditch is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to support reactive maintenance and voids contracts within the social housing sector. You will drive commercial performance, cost control, forecasting and profitable contract delivery across multiple streams.

The role requires proven QS experience in social housing, strong NHF SOR knowledge, familiarity with JCT contracts, and excellent analytical and negotiation skills to manage priorities under pressure.

Qualifications

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within Social Housing, Repairs & Maintenance, Property Services, or FM.
• Strong knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates and reactive maintenance contracts.
• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
• Good understanding of JCT contracts and commercial management principles.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage costs, forecasting, and commercial reporting across multiple workstreams.
• Procure, manage, and value subcontractor packages.
• Measure and value works using Schedule of Rates (SOR) and PPP cost models.
• Prepare and agree valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Support tender pricing, contract negotiations, and operational teams.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and commercial procedures.
• Monitor performance against contractual and financial KPIs.
