Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join an established infrastructure contractor supporting major civil engineering projects.

You will manage commercial aspects from procurement through to final account, prepare payments, variations and CVRs, and administer NEC contracts. This role offers a supportive, growing commercial team and exposure to high-profile schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and Section 278 highway works.
• Experience with subcontract management, valuations and final accounts.
• Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractors.
• Strong commercial and financial management skills.
• Relevant QS qualification or equivalent experience.

The Role

You will support the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, including:

• Preparing applications for payment, variations, compensation events and final accounts.
• Producing monthly CVRs, forecasts and commercial reports.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations and accounts.
• Supporting change management, risks and opportunities.
• Working closely with Project and Site Managers.
• Administering NEC contracts and ensuring contractual compliance.
• Supporting commercial decision-making across projects.

About You

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering and infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of NEC contracts and Section 278 (S278) highway infrastructure works
• Experience with sub-contract management, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong background working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
• Strong commercial and financial management skills.
• Relevant QS qualification or equivalent experience.
