Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join an established infrastructure contractor supporting civil engineering projects. You will gain exposure to major infrastructure schemes while developing your career within a supportive and growing commercial team.

Role covers procurement through final account, including payments, CVRs, subcontract procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts, NEC contracts administration, and risk/opportunity management, with

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering/infrastructure.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and S278 highway works.
• Experience with subcontract management, valuations, variations and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management from procurement through final account.

An excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established infrastructure contractor, supporting a portfolio of civil engineering projects

This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to gain exposure to major infrastructure schemes while developing their career within a supportive and growing commercial team.

The Role

You will support the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, including:

• Preparing applications for payment, variations, compensation events and final accounts.
• Producing monthly CVRs, forecasts and commercial reports.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations and accounts.
• Supporting change management, risks and opportunities.
• Working closely with Project and Site Managers.
• Administering NEC contracts and ensuring contractual compliance.
• Supporting commercial decision-making across projects.

About You

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering and infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of NEC contracts and Section 278 (S278) highway infrastructure works
• Experience with sub-contract management, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong background working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
• Strong commercial and financial management skills.
• Relevant QS qualification or equivalent experience.
