Job summary

Applewood Construction Limited is recruiting a Project Quantity Surveyor to manage post-tender commercial aspects on a range of build projects, primarily hospitality and related refurbishments. Office-based with visits to sites as required, you will oversee final accounts and subcontractor financials.

We are seeking 3–5 years’ experience in a contractor or sub-contractor environment, with a willingness to work across fast-changing refurbishment projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' minimum experience as a Contractor’s or Sub-Contractor’s Project QS.
• Experience on fast changing, large refurbishment contracts would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and agree final accounts for multiple projects.
• Manage sub-contractors' accounts and maintain full financial control.
• Produce monthly cost/value reconciliations for each project.

Project Quantity Surveyor

Location: Office based at Cannock Staffordshire / visiting sites as required.

Reports to: Senior/Managing Surveyor

About the Company

Applewood Construction provide a quality Construction service, ranging from Fitout projects to new build projects, primarily to the hospitality sector and latterly bespoke housing projects for disabled/assisted living accommodation.

Whilst Applewood Construction was only recently formed in 2019, the current team of 11 hold a wealth of industry & sector knowledge spanning over 35 years.

With positive repeat business growth, Applewood are looking to build and develop the team and recruit a Project Quantity Surveyor.

The Role

3 to 5 years' minimum experience in the industry, as a Contractor’s or Sub-Contractor’s Project Quantity Surveyor you will offer a range of commercial services across a variety of Build sectors. Experience of fast changing, large refurbishment Contracts within the hospitality sector would be an advantage.

As Project QS you will be responsible for all post tender aspects of a number of projects including preparing and agreeing final accounts, management of sub-contractors accounts and full financial management/control of each project including producing monthly cost/value reconciliations.
