Job summary

Applewood Construction Limited is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Cannock, with office-based work and site visits as required. You will handle post-tender activities, final accounts, and subcontractor finance for multiple projects in hospitality/refurbishment sectors.

The role emphasises cost/value reconciliation and robust financial management across projects, with progression opportunities to Senior Surveyor/Managing Surveyor as the team grows.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' minimum experience in the industry, as a Contractor’s or Sub-Contractor’s Project Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience of fast changing, large refurbishment contracts within the hospitality sector would be an advantage.
• Post tender responsibilities include final accounts, sub-contractor accounts and financial management/control for each project.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all post-tender aspects of multiple projects, including preparing and agreeing final accounts and cost/value reconciliations.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and oversee financial management of each project.

Project Quantity Surveyor

Location: Office based at Cannock Staffordshire / visiting sites as required.

Reports to: Senior/Managing Surveyor

About the Company

Applewood Construction provide a quality Construction service, ranging from Fitout projects to new build projects, primarily to the hospitality sector and latterly bespoke housing projects for disabled/assisted living accommodation.

Whilst Applewood Construction was only recently formed in 2019, the current team of 11 hold a wealth of industry & sector knowledge spanning over 35 years.

With positive repeat business growth, Applewood are looking to build and develop the team and recruit a Project Quantity Surveyor.

The Role

3 to 5 years' minimum experience in the industry, as a Contractor’s or Sub-Contractor’s Project Quantity Surveyor you will offer a range of commercial services across a variety of Build sectors. Experience of fast changing, large refurbishment Contracts within the hospitality sector would be an advantage.

As Project QS you will be responsible for all post tender aspects of a number of projects including preparing and agreeing final accounts, management of sub-contractors accounts and full financial management/control of each project including producing monthly cost/value reconciliations.
