An award-winning Building & Civil Engineering contractor based in Co. Down has a new opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team. The company has recently expanded into new markets and sectors, particularly in infrastructure and specialist areas, and has gained a reputation as a leading and reputable contractor committed to delivering quality solutions to its diverse customer base.

The Quantity Surveyor will provide commercial support to the project team, maintain commercial information, and ensure contractual compliance. Responsibilities include liaising with clients and third parties on commercial issues such as variations, claims, and payments. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, key duties involve:

1. Ensuring accurate and timely cost and value reporting at project and business levels.
2. Managing cash flow reporting and forecasting.
3. Updating CVR, cost, and commercial plans, and overseeing commercial performance and strategy.
4. Ensuring subcontractor terms are appropriate and risks are identified.
5. Engaging the supply chain with proper contract terms.
6. Fostering good client relationships.
7. Handling subcontract letting, negotiations, and financial accounting.
8. Coordinating effectively between the commercial and operational teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a QS role.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Familiarity with ICE/NEC forms of contract (NEC3 or NEC4).
• Knowledge of current Construction Law.
