The successful candidate will work with leading clients in retail, office, leisure, and hospitality sectors, ensuring projects are procured and delivered within budgets and contractual frameworks across UK and Ireland. What you'll do

The main tasks associated with the position include:

• Manage and lead the commercial aspects of projects.
• Help develop and train Junior Quantity Surveyors.
• Report on overall project financial performance for the Fit-Out Business.
• Optimize project and contract profitability.
• Prepare original cost estimates, bills of quantities, and conduct cost reviews at various project stages.
• Provide cost and value engineering advice during project development.
• Review contract documentation submitted by main contractors, identify issues, risks, and opportunities.
• Negotiate construction prices with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive bidding.

What you’ll bring

Your skills and experience should include:

• Extensive experience working within a Fit-Out environment.
• Significant relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
• Third Level Qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent high-level experience.
• Strong track record managing contractual issues on standard forms like JCT and NEC.
• Experience managing a team.
• Ability to complete projects under budget within tight time constraints.
• Extensive knowledge of construction practices for on-site analysis and cost-saving measures.
• Keeping up-to-date with pricing matrices and inflation impacts.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT tools.
• Experience in retail and hospitality sectors is beneficial.
