The Opportunity

We're supporting a well-established engineering business in the South West that is looking to appoint a Project Operations Manager to help strengthen, develop and expand its marine and coastal workstreams.

This is a key role for someone who can combine operational delivery with business development insight. As well as coordinating projects across a range of marine, coastal and waterside environments, you will play an active part in identifying new opportunities, improving service offerings and helping shape the long-term growth of the division.

The role offers significant scope for someone with commercial awareness, strong client-facing skills and the ambition to influence the direction of a growing business area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate delivery of ongoing projects across multiple marine/coastal sites
  • Manage labour, plant, equipment and materials to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders
  • Identify new opportunities, repeat work and emerging markets within the marine sector
  • Assist with tender input, quotational support and early engagement enquiries
  • Help develop and expand service offerings and operational capability
  • Contribute to business planning, forecasting and improvements in project delivery
  • Provide leadership and guidance to site teams, promoting a high-performance culture
About You
  • Background in civils, marine, coastal, infrastructure or environmental projects
  • Experience in project operations, contract delivery or area management
  • Strong commercial mind-set with an interest in developing new business streams
  • Effective communicator with a proactive, client-focused approach
  • Able to manage multiple work fronts, resources and priorities
  • Comfortable working across varied site environments
  • Full UK driving licence
